A guide to taking CBD oil effectively

Step 1. Make a note of your body

Being aware of your body and mind is going to help you define and reach your CBD goals. If you're using CBD to assist with physical ailments, then make a note about where you feel the pain, the level of discomfort, and when it usually appears.

If you're using CBD to help alleviate stress, help with sleep, or something else, make a note of your difficulties and triggers. This note will be a great reference point for adjusting the dosage and seeing whether CBD is right for you. Try to keep things like diet, exercise routines, and other controllable factors constant to get accurate feedback on how CBD is working for you.

Step 2. Choose your potency and style

When selecting what CBD to try, the spectrum of choice can be overwhelming. There are three different types of CBD: CBD isolate, full-spectrum CBD, and broad-spectrum CBD.

MUKOOMI CBD is CBD isolate. It doesn't contain any other elements of the cannabis plant, unlike full and broad-spectrum CBD, making it an excellent place to start.

CBD oils come in different ‘strengths,' the higher the milligram dosage, the higher the potency. MUKOOMI CBD is 900mg, that's considered mid-range. We recommend starting in the mid-range because you can adjust your dosage - by simply taking more or less.

Step 3. Create a routine

CBD should be treated like a supplement, not a medicine, so like a morning multivitamin, it's good to get into a CBD habit. Be aware that its effects are gradual, and the effectiveness of the oil builds up over time.

For maximum effect, take the drops throughout the day for physical ailments, or daily stress. An easy way to do that is to take it before your meals. If you want to sleep better, take an extra drop or two in the evening half an hour before bed.

Step 4. Consuming the oil: Plan to start small, and build-up

If you're new to CBD oil, and you're using 900mg MUKOOMI CBD, start with three drops for the initial weeks and work your way up until you find a level that works best with your lifestyle.

Fill the tincture dripper as much as you can and then squeeze 3 times, that should be 3 drops. The most effective way to consume is to place the oil under your tongue and hold it there for 60 seconds. You can also swirl the oil around your mouth, coating your gums for maximum oral absorption. Then swallow.

You can also swallow the oil immediately without holding it under your tongue; this is the slowest route for CBD to reach its targets. However, studies have said by consuming in this style also allows the oil to stay active in the body for a longer period, as peak bloodstream levels are reported to sit between 1-6 hours.

Step 5. Keep track of how your body is feeling

CBD takes about 10 minutes to an hour to be absorbed by the body, but its effects may not be so immediate. Studies have shown that it can take up to four to six weeks for your body to realize the benefits of CBD fully.

We suggest making weekly notes or updates (following our suggestion in step 1.). This will help you track your CBD journey. To help you out, we've created a MUKOOMI tracker sheet, which you can download for free over here
